In-Person Tours Suspended
The U.S. Air Force Academy has resumed in-person tours. Tours are limited in size.
Students and parents can still sign up for virtual events, featuring live Q&A sessions with recently graduated lieutenants, as well as a virtual tour of the cadet area. Additionally, cadet-candidates interested in visiting campus can sign up for a Windshield Tour to view areas of interest on base. These tours do not include live briefings but will let you see the area firsthand.
For outreach events held off-campus and hosted by an outside organization, such as Academy Days, Service Academy Workshops, College Fairs, and other events, please contact the hosting official listed under each event for the most up-to-date information.
Please be aware, all visitors, regardless of vaccination status, will be expected to wear a mask at all times while inside. Please monitor these pages regularly for updated information and signups, and be aware that tours can be cancelled at any time. Tours are limited in size, and you must sign up through this website.
Admissions Events
How does it feel to trace the footsteps of some of our nation’s most revered leaders? Come see the United States Air Force Academy for yourself and find out through our virtual tours.
If you are interested in pursuing an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy and plan to visit the campus, you may wish to participate in one of our admissions events. Tours are intended for students aged 13 to 22, and are intended to help those who are eligible and interested in applying gain a deeper understanding of the Academy environment.
Touring campus is a physically strenuous activity that includes walking long distances, often uphill, and several flights of stairs. Please keep in mind, the U.S. Air Force Academy is more than 7,000 feet above sea level, and these tours are not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. We recommend visitors drink plenty of water and dress comfortably.
At times, a scheduled admissions event will be canceled due to weather for the safety of both our visitors and our admissions team.

The admissions office offers two types of events:
- Discover USAFA
Discover USAFA includes our admissions briefing, Q&A session and a guided walking tour of the cadet area, normally restricted to authorized personnel only. - Virtual Discover USAFA
Take a virtual tour of the cadet area, with the same admissions briefing and Q&A session as the in-person tour. Sign ups are still required. - Explore USAFA
Explore USAFA includes our admissions briefing and Q&A session. Afterward, our guests can explore limited areas of the campus on a self-guided tour.
Admissions events are held in the Barry Goldwater Visitor Center unless otherwise noted.
